Our Experience:

My family visited the A Maze’n Farmyard on a weekday in the late summer and in was perfect. I do think it would be perfect anytime of year, and it’s large enough that even if it was packed I think you could find your own space, but a weekday was GREAT. We had driven by it on our way home from a recent camping trip and it looked so fun, we knew we had to go back.

First, bought our admission as well as a small kit of feeding materials for the animals throughout the farm, and then it was time to explore. We headed to the Bouncy House Barn first and we were the only people there. It was great, the kids loved it and besides a little bouncing  ourselves, my husband and I basically got to sit down and relax while they played for a long time.

Next it was off to check out the main barn. This was so much more than I expected. They had all your normal petting zoo animals, but they also had, puppies, kitty’s, rabbits, gerbils, and more. The kids feed the goats, snuggled the puppies and had fabulous interactions with all of the animals. It was adorable and so fun!

Ater this we headed to see the outdoor goats, and then onto the slides. The slides are what first attracted us to this place, after seeing them from the road. Up close they are even bigger than they appeared from the road! They were super fun, and the kids of course were blissfully happy! We also found some fun extras, like tic tac toe around this area!

After this we headed to the other fun barns. They have one full of pigeons, one where you can feed the parakeets, and one that is a big corn pit. There was also a fun water pumping game that was nice on a hot summer day. The parakeets were super fun and we had a lot of great laughs while feeding them. We also loved the corn pit and spent a lot of time there. We did a lot of buying the kids and rolling around in corn. Its safe to say we were finding corn in our car and pockets for a while following this trip!

After this it was on to the main attraction, or at least the attraction the farm in named after, the maze. The maze is much larger than I expected and made of wood. Very cool looking. They have a variety of different levels/challenges you can do. We choose an easy one and let the kids lead the way! It was really fun, and we didn’t get lost, so that was a plus.

After the maze we finished up with the animal experiences we hadn’t done yet. The pony rides and the duck and fish feeding pond. These were both fun for the kids. The ducks and fish were very active and excited.

It was a pretty hot day so we skipped outdoor mini golf and headed to the second floor of the main barn for some black light mini golf. The kids were super into this and my daughter was excited to get her first hole in one!

After this, we were done, and totally worn out. It was such a good day. We used their nice hand washing stations one last time and headed in for the gift shop and ice cream! We had such a great time and the kids cannot wait to go back. If you are looing for a unique interactive, kid friendly day trip, this is the place!
