Country Blossom Farm

County Blossom farm in Alexandria, Minnesota is the perfect place to spend a fall day. This farm is not only absolutely beautiful, but there is SO MUCH to do! We have visited a few times now and every time has been fabulous. Today, I will tell you all about the farm and the activities to choose from during your visit.

Country Blossom Farm has over 8,000 apple trees, seven acres of strawberries, an amazing raspberry patch and raspberry filled green houses, and so many pumpkins. In addition to the fruit they have a beautiful shop and bakery. In the shop they have a great selection of beautiful farm house style décor and many fun holiday items. You can also buy prepicked fruit from the farm and many premade items, fruit pies, pot pies, soups, etc. The bakery offers delicious coffee and apple cider drinks. My kids each enjoyed a apple slushy. They also have fresh bakery items, I loved the apple donut, the kids loved chocolate and vanilla donuts, and my husband had carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. All items were awesome! I also must say the service was excellent. We had the most friendly people help us while in the bakery and in the shop. We also were able to meet the owner, and he was so kind and really took the time to make sure all his guests were enjoying their day on  the farm. In addition to the fruit and the indoor offerings this farm has so many outdoor activities. This farm is special, they really make you feel welcome here.

Our Day at the Farm:

We visited the farm on a Friday during the day, which was great, mush less packed than the previous year when we visited on the weekend. If you can do a weekday, I would recommend it. When you arrive the first thing to do is to go inside and purchase wristbands, fruit picking bags, etc. Don’t forget your mask for this part 😉 After you’ve purchased your supplies for the day everything is outdoors. Unless you stop at the shop or bakery after, which I think you should.

Jumping Pillow:

My kids always head straight to the giant jumping pillow. This is definitely a big highlight for the kids. I sure wish they had these when I was a kid. They look so fun. Be sure your kiddos have socks for this one!

Bouncy Animals:

The bouncy animals brought us sooo many laughs. They have a lot of fun animal choices, and it is really fun to watch the kiddos get them bouncing. Don’t skip this one!

Tire Mountain:

Tire Mountain is exactly what is sounds like. The kids had a lot of fun climbing around on the tires and hiding from us inside of them. We played a little hide and seek and it was really fun!

Corn Maze:

The corn maze is gigantic! DO NOT forget a map, or you may get lost… for real. The women who sold us our tickets said they had a couple groups get lost for hours in there! We did not do the whole maze but the part we did was a lot of fun. They have a clever story to read throughout the maze and the kids really enjoyed trying to get to each next section of the story.  It was also fun to have the kids help with the map reading. They loved being in the tall corn on a mission!

Slide, Swings, Spiderweb

They have a large variety of swings all over on the farm, they also have some really cool, big, tube slides. The kids really enjoyed these. They also enjoyed yelling in the tubes to create echo’s! haha!

Puzzles & Water Pumps

Throughout the farm they have a variety of fun puzzles for the kids, or adults. They were all cute and fun. They also have this fun water pumping station that the kids seriously could have played at all day! It was really fun, even for my husband and I! 😉

U-Pick Raspberries:

The U-Pick Raspberries are SO GOOD. The are big and juicy and sweet and delicious! haha! Can you tell we loved them! I definitely recommend getting raspberries if they are available when you are there. The kids loved them, we loved them, and I already want to go back for more! We picked two pints and next time we plan to do six!

U-Pick Apples:

The U-Pick Apples are also delicious. We picked honey crisps and we have been eating them like crazy. The apple trees were healthy and beautiful and we had so much fun walking down the beautiful paths and picking our favorite apples.

Currently closed due to Covid:

Unfortunately this year the farm was unable to open a couple sections. These include the corn pit, pedal car track, bazooka ball, and wagon rides. Hopefully these will be back next season. We enjoyed some of them a few years ago so I’ll include some of those photos so you know what to expect in future years 😉

In addition to the things we enjoyed during our fall day at the farm, they do have strawberry picking in June and a number of events throughout the year. Check their website to learn more about these special events. Country Blossoms slogan is, where sweet memories bloom, and I think it is so fitting. I definitely hold on to the memories we have made on this farm. I hope this blog has inspired you to get your family/friends out there to make some memories of your own!

Much Love and Happy Travels,

Lacey
