Paul Bunyan Land

Paul Bunyan Land is an amusement park located in Brainerd, Minnesota. Paul has been greeting guests in the Brainerd Lakes area since 1954. If you visited as a kid, you are in for a treat. While there have obviously been many updates throughout the years, much of the park remains the same as the good ol’ days, and will bring back wonderful memories.

Our Recent Experiences:

We loo forward to our annual trip to Paul Bunyan and every year. We go each year for my daughters birthday in the end of July. We have been doing this the past three years and it has always been perfect! We pack a lunch and leave the park about half way throughout our stay to grill out and have cake in the picnic area right outside the park. It works great! Its great for the kids to get a little downtime, and of course food for energy!

The kids always look forward to talking to Paul and they ask him funny questions each year. I absolutely love watching them chat with him. Its very funny and brings back memories from my own childhood.

The rides are perfect for young kids. It’s also nice because it is generally not very packed so the kids can go on each ride multiple times with little to no waits. My kids (5 & 7) are basically tall enough to ride everything alone, so its mostly just watching and holding water bottle for the parents 😉

In addition to the rides the petting zoo, and pioneer farm are fun to explore. The kids always enjoy running though this area and finding different silly things to look at.

The biggest thing that stands out to me as a be ready for, is the sun! It is HOT at Paul Bunyan world and there is not much cover from the sun. Definitely bring water and sunscreen and reapply often. On hot days they sometimes have a sprinkler set up to cool down, which is a nice touch.

Enjoy the photos below from a couple of our recent visits. They will help you get a good idea of what to expect!

I hope you enjoyed the photos of our past trips. As you can see, it is always a day full of smiles and fun! Definitely plan a trip to Paul Bunyan Land while you are in the Brainerd Lakes this summer! You will have so much fun!

Much Love & Happy Travels,

Lacey
