Safari North Wildlife park is an amazing place for a day fun of family fun. We LOVE it there. The park has amazing animals and some really fun interactive experiences. Another bonus: this wildlife park is located entirely outdoors (with the exception of the gift shop). We have been to this park a lot, and we have learned a lot during our visits. In this blog I will tell you about the park, what to expect, and what to bring to make it a great day.

Parking: Parking is free and there is plenty available.

What’s Available with Admission: All Exhibits, Restrooms, Playground
What’s Available at Extra Cost: Feeding Giraffes, Riding Camels, Feeding Parakeets, Feeding Alligators, Feeding Petting Zoo Animals, Rock Mining, Strollers, Wagons, Snacks, Beverages, Souvenirs, NEW THIS YEAR: Safari Train Ride (You can experience all these things for free by watching, but if you want the food and such to get the animals to interact with you more you will want some extra cash, cost for each ranges from 25 cents to 5 dollars)

What to Bring:

• Cash and coins in addition to money for admissions. The concession stand, gift shop, and petting zoo/rock shop accept credit cards. If you plan to purchase extras to feed or ride animals bring cash and coins!
• A Wagon or stroller depending on the age of you kids. My kids love having the wagon to jump in and out of.
• Snacks, Water, Baby Wipes, Hand Sanitizer – My kids always snack throughout the zoo, it’s great that you can pack your own lunches if you wish. The zoo has hand washing stations by every interactive exhibit, but its always nice to have some other supplies on hand.
• SUNSCREEN! A lot of this zoo is very out in the open and it gets HOT on summer days.
• Camera – So many fun photo ops!

Our Visits to Safari North

We have always had a great time at Safari North Wildlife Park. The more prepared we are the better day we have. I went once without a wagon and will definitely never make that mistake again! My kids LOVE the interactive exhibits and even though I am afraid of animals I must admit they are pretty fun! I have actually grown quite fond of the birds! My advice, pack smart and you will have an excellent time! Enjoy these photos from some of our recent visits.

New this year they are adding a Safari Train you can ride through a new 10 acre safari exhibit where guests will see lions, hyenas, monkeys, zebras, wildebeest, bison, eland, nilgai, ostrich, emu, rhea, and more. We are excited to check it out!
