This month my husband and I celebrate seven years of marriage! So, I figured it was the perfect time to do a little reminiscing about our honeymoon! 

 My husband and I honeymooned in St. Luica and absolutely loved it. It was the perfect, romantic destination to get away and it was the perfect place for two people looking for an active, adventurous honeymoon. As soon as we walked off the plane we knew we were in for a treat. The island is absolutely breathtaking and really magical. We began our ten-night honeymoon with 3 nights at the all-inclusive resort, Almond Smugglers Cove. Upon arrival we were upgraded to an ocean front walkout room, which was a wonderful surprise. This was a family friendly resort but we were happy to learn that they also had an adult’s only pool and plenty of nightlife to keep us entertained. During our stay we tested out all the fabulous restaurants and had fun dancing the nights away.

 One of the days we also set out to do some zip lining at Treetop Adventures Park. The canopy tour consists of 12 zip lines including the island’s longest and highest, extending up to 800 feet between platforms; totally incredible. This was the best zip lining we have ever done; the guides were hilarious and the whole experience was a lot of fun! After the first three nights it was off to Sandals Regency La Toc for the remaining 7 nights of our honeymoon.

My husband and I are huge fans of Sandals, and Sandals St. Lucia only made us love their resorts more! We stayed at Sandals Regency La Toc, but while on the island you have exchange privileges with all three Sandals Resorts. With shuttles running between the three resorts constantly there is more then enough to keep a couple busy for weeks! Upon arrival we learned that it was Sandals Reunion Week, a WONDERFUL week to visit! Since we had stayed at a Sandals Resort before we were invited to all sorts of extras for returning guests. The 1^st night we were invited to a cocktail hour and 10-course dinner complete with entertainment and plenty of dancing and prizes! During our stay, because of reunion week, we were also invited on a sunset dinner cruise as well as a gourmet picnic and hike at Pigeon Island, both amazing experiences!

We also decided to go on the Catamaran Day Sail, which consisted of a beautiful day on the ocean and captivating views of the island. During the tour we visited the town of Soufriere, which is located at the bottom of the famous World Heritage Piton Mountains. We also visited the Diamond Botanical Gardens, Sulphur Springs, had a wonderful lunch and went snorkeling in a beautiful cove. Complete with all the rum you can drink, I’m sure you can imagine the catamaran ride back home was pretty rowdy and a ton of fun! This was a wonderful tour and I would highly recommend it as a way to really see the island and all the amazing views.

 While at the resorts there is so much to do to keep busy, from the waterfront activities to the beautiful pools and of course the amazing restaurants. We often ate pizza poolside from Pizzeria Del Campo, and would highly recommend Kimonos where we had a lovely teppanyaki style dinner. Don’t forget to check out the Red Lane Spa, a couple’s massage is a must for honeymooners!

We had an amazing honeymoon and were so happy with both resorts and the destination we choose. St. Lucia is the perfect choice for honeymooners and adventure-lovers. It was a wonderful way to start the rest of our life together and we enjoyed every moment of our stay on the lovely island of St. Lucia.
